 Electrical Energy Distribution

The high voltage coming from the transmission phase cannot be directly transferred to the end user. The voltage must first be decreased, and this is done by a distribution substation. In a distribution substation, the voltage is stepped down to a much lower value. The lower voltage power is then distributed through distribution lines to a distribution pole (DP). The distribution pole has a transformer which further lowers the voltage and the power is now carried by these lines that deliver electricity to our home.


In our Barangay, we have a distribution pole right in front of our house which distributes electricity to various homes, including ours.

Electrical Energy Generation  Renewable Energy Source: Hydropower Energy is generated through the movement of water moving from higher to lower elevations. At present, Hydropower is the top source of renewable energy regarding electricity generation. Reservoir hydropower plants utilize stored water in a reservoir, while run-of-river hydropower plants generate energy from the natural and accessible flow of the river.
